A noble estate located in the village of the same name, the territory of which became part of Moscow in 1917.
The estate was built in the 1750s under the direction of the St. Petersburg architect Alexander Filippovich Kokorinov.

Since the second half of the 19th century, the territory and buildings of the estate have been occupied by the Petrovskaya Agricultural Academy, for the opening of which the estate was purchased by the state.

Nowadays, the territory of the former estate is home to the Russian Agrarian University named after K. A. Timiryazev, as well as other educational institutions. There are several museums. A large park has been developed, divided into two areas: Timiryazevsky Park and the historical part.
