The muse­um com­plex con­sists of sev­er­al build­ings con­tain­ing exten­sive col­lec­tions: archae­o­log­i­cal, tile and ceram­ics col­lec­tions, and a col­lec­tion ded­i­cat­ed to the Ancient East. The exhi­bi­tion presents the cul­tur­al her­itage of mankind from the most ancient civ­i­liza­tions of Ara­bia, Mesopotamia, Egypt and Hel­las to late antiq­ui­ty, the Mid­dle Ages and the Ottoman peri­od.
