This exquis­ite gar­den was cre­at­ed in 1984 by Prince Rainier III as a trib­ute to his wife Princess Grace. The four-hectare gar­den fea­tures a small lake bor­dered by palm trees and an olive grove. Of course, ros­es are the high­light of the gar­den. There are 4,000 rose bush­es in hun­dreds of vari­eties. Each rose has an iden­ti­fy­ing QR code (use­ful for gar­den­ers). Spe­cial ros­es are named for the Princes and Princess­es of the Grimal­di Roy­al Fam­i­ly. The Rose Gar­den is main­tained using eco-friend­­ly prac­tices and has been award­ed the label of “Eco­log­i­cal Gar­den.” This tran­quil gar­den is one of the best places to vis­it in Mona­co for a moment of relax­ation. Find a park bench where you can take in the scenery or go for a walk along the mean­der­ing foot­paths. As you stroll, you will come across an assort­ment of con­tem­po­rary sculp­tures. The Princess Grace Rose Gar­den is locat­ed in the Fontvieille dis­trict, which is about a 30-minute walk (or short dri­ve) from the Monte-Car­­lo dis­trict or a 15-minute walk from the Palais Princi­er.
