Description:
Built in St. Petersburg by order of the Kamchatka administration. Initially, the ship served to transport passengers and was called “Admiral Zavoiko”. In 1923, she was renamed “Red Pennant” and transferred to the class of patrol ships. During the Great Patriotic War, “Red Vympel” served submarine moorings, laid submarine cables and took part in battles, and after the war it was engaged in mine clearance. In 1958, the ship was turned into a museum.
