The Pri­morsky Ocea­nari­um is the largest ocea­nari­um in Rus­sia; its exhi­bi­tions con­tain near­ly 400 species of marine and fresh­wa­ter aquat­ic organ­isms, the total num­ber of ani­mals liv­ing in the com­plex is almost 14,000 indi­vid­u­als. The aquar­i­um’s col­lec­tion con­tains rep­re­sen­ta­tives of all oceans and cli­mat­ic zones of the Earth. Hun­dreds of liv­ing organ­isms (jel­ly­fish, amphib­ians, fish, marine mam­mals) are born thanks to pro­fes­sion­al breed­ing pro­grams.
