It is here that the great patriarchs of the Abrahamic religions are buried: Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their wives — Sarah, Rebecca and Leah. Adjacent to the Tomb of the Patriarchs is the Ibrahimi Mosque, the most important in the city from a historical point of view.
