Крупный водораздел, разделяющий речные бассейны.
Описание:
Is located 30 kilometers from Chita and since September 10, 2012 has been called Pallas Mountain. This is the only one of the four largest watershed points on planet Earth where three great rivers meet. In April 1772, the explorer, scientist, and traveler Peter Simon Pallas arrived in Transbaikalia. He passed through the Yablonovy Ridge and stayed in these parts until June, studying the life of the peoples living here and the nature. It was decided to name the mountain in his honor, under which the Great World Divide is located, the main one for which was still the second discovery. Geography teacher Timur Zhalsarayn described the four most special watersheds in the world. In 1977, he began to study the junction of the Lena, Yenisei, and Amur basins and came to the conclusion that such a unique system as in the Chita region (until 2008, the territory of the Transbaikal Territory included the territory of the Chita region and the Aginsky Buryat Autonomous Okrug — author) does not exist anywhere in the world. It was Timur Zhalsarayn who calculated and indicated the intersection point of the basins of three huge rivers. The bard song club “Great Source” under the leadership of Konstantin Shlyamov played a huge role in popularizing Mount Pallas in the 2000s.
