A unique mon­u­ment of his­to­ry and tech­nol­o­gy, built in 1886 in Tyu­men by order of the famous Siber­ian indus­tri­al­ist Alexan­der Mikhailovich Sibiryakov. The car­­go-pas­sen­ger tug­boat “St. Niko­lay” was famous for its speed and com­fort­able pas­sen­ger com­part­ments at the end of the 19th cen­tu­ry. The steamship had a capac­i­ty of 140 horse­pow­er and could take on board 150–200 pas­sen­gers. It was on it that Tsare­vich Niko­lai Alexan­drovich Romanov, the future last Emper­or of Rus­sia Nicholas II, made a short trip on July 1, 1891, return­ing from a trip to the East. On April 30, 1897, V.I. Lenin and his asso­ciates G.M. Krzhizhanovsky, V.V. Starkov went on this steamship to Minusin­sk, head­ing to the place of exile.
