Description:
An ancient sanctuary located in the center of Seoul. Zen Buddhists come to the temple. In the 14th century, an ancient temple stood on the site of the building, which was destroyed during the Japanese War. In the center of the temple is Daeungjeon, which has colorful patterns. Inside there is a statue of Buddha.
On the territory there are two centuries-old trees (Japanese pagoda tree and white pine) and a multi-tiered stone pagoda, where the holy remains of monks are kept. Tourists can visit the Buddhist accessories store and buy gongs, prayer beads, literature and other souvenirs.
