The Arzhaan‑2 bur­ial mound is about 150 years younger than the Arzhaan‑1 com­plex and is locat­ed about 10 kilo­me­ters away from it. Large-scale archae­o­log­i­cal exca­va­tions were car­ried out here in the 21st cen­tu­ry – in 2000–2004. The diam­e­ter of the mound is about 80 meters, the height of the embank­ment does not exceed two meters. Sci­en­tists attribute its cre­ation to the 7th cen­tu­ry BC. Dur­ing the exca­va­tions, gold items were found in large quan­ti­ties – their total weight exceed­ed 20 kg. Now you can see the arti­facts in the Nation­al Muse­um in Kyzyl and in the Her­mitage.
