A memorial in Magadan dedicated to the memory of the victims of political repression. The central monument is 15 meters high. Authors: sculptor — Ernst Neizvestny, architect — Kamil Kozaev. The central sculpture of the memorial is a stylized face of a man, from whose left eye tears flow in the form of small masks. The right eye is depicted in the form of a window with bars. On the reverse side is a bronze sculpture of a crying woman under a non-canonical crucifix. Inside the monument is a copy of a typical prison cell, which shows the contents of prisoners who were subjected to repression.
