The mosque is located on Naqsh-e Jahan Square (Imam Square) and is the largest mosque in the city. Actually, when we talk about Isfahan, the first thing that comes to mind is the appearance of Naqsh-e Jahan Square with a large golden dome of the Lutfulla mosque. This is the clearest example of Persian architecture and the Isfahan school – an abundance of piercing blue mosaics, incredibly complex patterns on the dome and a play of light that changes the atmosphere of the interior halls of the mosque depending on the time of day.
