Description:
The castle was built in 1898–1902 according to the project of the architect Grigory Ippolitovich Lyucedarsky. There is a version about the completion of the building by the local contractor Yahye Kerbolaya Abbase. The myth claims that when laying the foundation, it cracked twice, and then a local contractor was invited, who built the palace on the mountain according to the capital’s drawings. The castle was built in stages. First, the palace itself was built with a round panoramic window in the prince’s office, a chimney and an openwork metal curl. Then an attached hotel part appeared for members of the royal blood and representatives of the highest nobility of the Russian Empire.
