The author of the idea and sci­en­tif­ic con­cept of the con­struc­tion of the spir­i­tu­al com­plex “Otpan” is the famous poet, pub­lic fig­ure Sabyr Aday. In 2004, he designed a project for a his­tor­i­cal and cul­tur­al com­plex, and it was built by design­er-archi­­tect Kop­bol Demesinov. On Octo­ber 25, 2007, the mau­soleum was opened. Cur­rent­ly, by res­o­lu­tion No. 3 of the Aki­mat of the Mangys­tau region dat­ed Jan­u­ary 5, 2018, the his­tor­i­cal and cul­tur­al com­plex is includ­ed in the State List of His­tor­i­cal and Cul­tur­al Mon­u­ments of Local Impor­tance. This mon­u­ment was includ­ed in the list of sacred objects under the project of region­al sig­nif­i­cance “Geog­ra­phy of Sacred Places of Kaza­khstan” with­in the frame­work of the “Spir­i­tu­al Mod­ern­iza­tion” pro­gram.

The his­tor­i­cal and cul­tur­al com­plex “Aday ata — Otpan tau” includes a series of open-air mon­u­ments:

Mau­soleum of Adai Ata. Aksaray is a 37-meter white-stone mau­soleum ded­i­cat­ed to our ances­tor Adai Ata and his two sons: Kelim­berdy and Kuday­ka. The mau­soleum con­sists of eight rooms ded­i­cat­ed to the eight grand­chil­dren of Adai Ata. There is a his­tor­i­cal muse­um that reflects the past life of the region;

Mon­u­ment “The image of the moth­er.” The wife of Adai ata is the image of all moth­ers. The image of the moth­er is com­ple­ment­ed by the moon — a sym­bol of the face, the sun — a sym­bol of the heart, two eagles, denot­ing two sons, to whom the moth­er con­veys the best human qual­i­ties — love of free­dom, sol­i­dar­i­ty, broth­er­hood. These are two chil­dren born from the moth­er’s womb — Kudayke and Kelim­ber­di. Moth­er is the cra­dle of life and the ances­tor of life, the keep­er of the hearth. There­fore, this mon­u­ment is locat­ed near the Adai Ata mau­soleum. The height of the mon­u­ment is 15 meters;

Stair­case of 362 steps — a hik­ing trail con­sist­ing of 362 steps, accord­ing to the num­ber of holy places in the region, which lead to the top of Mount Otpan Tau;

Tam­ga of the Adai clan. A spear and a saber are depict­ed against the back­ground of the shield, in the cen­ter there is the famous tam­ga of the Adai fam­i­ly in the form of an arrow, point­ing upwards and sym­bol­iz­ing courage, coun­try and uni­ty.

The sculp­ture of the “Heav­en­ly Wolf” is an ani­­mal-totem, accord­ing to an ancient leg­end, it is con­sid­ered the prog­en­i­tor of the entire Tur­kic peo­ple. Kok­bori — Great she-wolf, a sym­bol of strength and free­dom of spir­it. Accord­ing to leg­end, she raised the baby she found — the future batyr;

Amal, which orig­i­nates from the era of nomads, ignites Fire — the fire of wor­ship of the spir­its of ances­tors (Tagzym Alauy). Accord­ing to the already estab­lished tra­di­tion, the torch is passed by relay to rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the Adai clans.
