Description:
Named after Aimani Kadyrova, the widow of the first Chechen President Akhmat Kadyrov, it was built on the site of the former city mosque. The mosque’s architecture is high-tech, making it unique among Russian Islamic temples. The project was developed by Turkish architect Deniz Baykan, and the construction was carried out by the Inkomstroy company using funds from the Akhmat Kadyrov regional public fund.
During the day, the vaults of the mosque change color depending on the weather, and at night the area is illuminated with multi-colored LEDs. The walls are decorated with marble and travertine. The mosque is surrounded by a park with hundreds of species of fruit trees, fountains and decorative elements. Streams with fish flow along the stairs to the central entrance. Nearby is the Argun City high-rise complex. The opening of the mosque was accompanied by a marathon “From Heart to Heart”, in which more than 5,000 people took part, running 16.4 km from the “Heart of Chechnya” mosque in Grozny to Argun. This is the first mosque in Russia built in an ultra-modern style, and it has become a symbol of the region’s modernization.
