One of the largest open-air ethno­graph­ic muse­ums in Rus­sia with an area of ​​70 hectares, on its ter­ri­to­ry there are over 160 archi­tec­tur­al mon­u­ments, 40 exhi­bi­tions, and the museum’s col­lec­tions num­ber more than 35 thou­sand exhibits.

Cre­at­ed in a unique loca­tion on the banks of the Angara Riv­er, the “Event Space”, com­bin­ing the his­tor­i­cal envi­ron­ment and moder­ni­ty, has become an excel­lent place for fam­i­ly recre­ation and hold­ing all kinds of pub­lic events.

Every year the muse­um cel­e­brates the New Year, Christ­mas, Maslen­it­sa, East­er, and hosts major inter­na­tion­al fes­ti­vals, such as the Inter­na­tion­al Crafts Fes­ti­val, the Russ­ian Opera Fes­ti­val, etc. The muse­um has stages for con­certs, venues for orga­niz­ing con­fer­ences and sem­i­nars, and a café. , sou­venir shops, craft work­shops.

The mod­ern Archi­tec­tur­al and Ethno­graph­ic Muse­um “Talt­sy” is not only a place for pre­serv­ing mon­u­ments of folk wood­en archi­tec­ture, but also a pop­u­lar tourist cen­ter, which is vis­it­ed with plea­sure by every­one who is inter­est­ed in the past of the Baikal region.
