Скала на Байкале, связанная с именем исследователя Черского.
Описание:
Height 728 meters. It received its name in honor of Jan Dominik Czerski: a Pole who was exiled to Siberia after the 1863 uprising. While in exile, Chersky continued his self-education. What fascinated him most was geology, so the man took the opportunity to visit Irkutsk and began to study Lake Baikal in earnest. Over time, Chersky settled in the city and traveled with geological expeditions to all the shores of the legendary lake. It was with his hand that a description of the geology of the shores of Lake Baikal was written, and a detailed geological map was compiled. Chersky’s contribution to the study of Siberia and Baikal was appreciated: many places were named after him, including several mountain peaks. They say that the Chersky Stone was named after the scientist not by chance. According to legend, the man loved to climb to the top and spend hours looking at the surroundings, enjoying the local views.
