Description:
The Indus River got its name from the ancient Sanscrit language word “Sindhu,” and the gorge is between 15,000 and 17,000 feet deep in the Nanga Parbat area. The Indus River is a major Asian river that passes through this picturesque gorge. The river passes by the world’s ninth highest mountain, the Nagan Parbat. The Nagan Parbat is covered with glaciers, so it offers a particularly spectacular view. The area was home to several early civilizations, including the Indus Valley Civilization.
