Locat­ed on the west­ern slope of the south­ern part of the Tum­rok ridge, 115 kilo­me­ters from the vil­lage of Milko­vo and 265 kilo­me­ters from Petropavlovsk-Kam­chatsky. The height of the vol­cano is 2485 m. Kiz­imen is one of 29 active vol­ca­noes in Kam­chat­ka. The last vol­canic erup­tion occurred in 1928–1929.
