Of all the nature pro­tec­tion zones, the Sat­a­plisky reserve stands out pri­mar­i­ly because there is an extinct vol­cano crater on its ter­ri­to­ry. Inside the Sat­a­plia cave there is also an under­ground riv­er, which comes out in the south­ern region of the Sat­a­pli moun­tain, lat­er this water stream turns into a strong and tur­bu­lent moun­tain riv­er Ogaskuri. Oth­er sights of the reserved moun­tain Sat­a­pli are pre­sent­ed in the form of pet­ri­fied foot­prints of dinosaurs. Sci­en­tists have estab­lished that these ancient ani­mals lived in the Cau­ca­sus about 70 mil­lion years ago. In addi­tion to traces of dinosaur habi­ta­tion, every­thing on the same Sat­a­pli moun­tain was found with traces of the pres­ence of an ancient man. A whole site was exca­vat­ed in the moun­tain, after numer­ous tests and ana­lyzes, it was estab­lished that this site belonged to the Stone Age.
