Описание:
Located 3.5 km from Siab Bazaar and approximately 5 km from the city center. The museum tells what happened here (in Uzbek and English). What remains of the observatory itself is a hill, inside of which there is a 30-meter arc of a sectarian built in 1420, which was used to measure the height of celestial bodies above the horizon. Using this device, Ulugbek and his associates compiled a detailed map of the starry sky. In 2012, the observatory was thoroughly restored and the building took on its natural appearance. Inside the observatory there is a museum with many exhibits and models of buildings of ancient Samarkand.
