Fonte da Rampa do Mercado is a monumental fountain in Cayru Square designed by sculptor Mário Cravo, Jr. Known locally as A Bunda (“The Butt”), it is made of yellow fiberglass with an internal metallic structure. This unique 16 meter tall fountain was inaugurated in 1970. Erected in honor of the burned down “old” Mercado market. Author — Mario Cavu Jr.
