Projects for the construction of panel housing began to be developed in the USSR before the war. The pioneer of this activity was the Berezovsky Plant of Building Structures (BZSK), where in 1946 the first panel house in the country was assembled, which still decorates the factory village (some sources call this house the second, while the first is hidden somewhere on the territory of the plant). It is curious that in its architecture the house is more reminiscent of a cottage and has nothing in common with the multi-story panel structures that flooded the country 10–15 years after the new construction technology was “tested” in Berezovsky.
