Прекрасно сохранившаяся крепость 16 века является архитектурным музеем и одновременно местом размещения правительства РТ. Во многих зданиях размещены музеи и выставки. Территория кремля входит в список Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО. В Кремле достаточное количество подробных указателей, заблудиться в нём невозможно. Метро Кремлёвская находится в пешеходной доступности.
