This muse­um opened in 2013 and dis­plays the his­to­ry of the Red Star Line, a Bel­gian nav­i­ga­tion com­pa­ny offer­ing con­nec­tions between Antwerp and New York. This enabled large-scale emi­gra­tion to the Unit­ed States. The muse­um col­lec­tion is based on the sto­ries of peo­ple who trav­elled on this line, includ­ing Albert Ein­stein and Irv­ing Berlin.
