and Church Sve­ta Pet­ka are locat­ed on Kale­meg­dan fortress, near obser­va­to­ry (easy to miss, ask for direc­tions). Ruaica is first men­tioned at 15th cen­tu­ry, and destroyed in ear­ly 18th cen­tu­ry. After that it is rebuild in the present loca­tion, and it is the old­est church in Bel­grade. It is again destroyed in World War I by the Cen­tral Pow­ers, and then renewed in 1925. At that time the church got bronze sol­diers guards in front of it and the unusu­al chan­de­liers made out of bul­let shells, swords and bay­o­nets.
