Description:
The building at Döbrentei Utca 10 was designed and built by Alajos Hauszmann himself in 1892 as his private residence. The architecture of the house combines Neo-Renaissance and eclectic elements, with richly decorated facades, balconies, ornaments, and sculptural details. Hauszmann was one of Hungary’s most influential architects, author of the Royal Palace, the Technical University building, and other iconic structures. The house has survived to this day and stands as an important monument of architectural heritage.

The house was confiscated during the Hungarian Soviet Republic. Hauszmann died in 1926 in Velence.
