Журнал Condé Nast Traveller UK включил озеро Байкал в список «25 природных чудес мира, которые стоит увидеть в 2025 году». Отмечены уникальная экосистема, зимние туры по льду и этнический туризм в Бурятии. В 2025 году Байкал посетили более 1,3 млн туристов, из них около 150 тыс. иностранцев.
