Description:
The memorial arch in honor of Nicholas II’s visit to Mariinsk in 1891 was opened in 2011. This object is an exact copy of the arch built for the arrival of the Tsarevich, the future Russian Emperor. The Grand Duke was returning from his trip to Japan, stopped in Mariinsk for the night, and it was built for his arrival. Thanks to this event, Mariinsk is the only city in the Kemerovo Region visited by the royal person.
