The most pop­u­lar cave in the Krasnodar region is hid­den in a beech-fir for­est, at an alti­tude of about 1,520 meters above sea lev­el. It was dis­cov­ered in 1910, and at the end of the 20th cen­tu­ry it was equipped for tourists. The under­ground cor­ri­dors are on three tiers and extend for 635 m. The excur­sion route con­sists of sev­er­al halls, as well as a gallery of the low­er tier, along which a small stream Lozovush­ka flows. The part of the cave acces­si­ble for inspec­tion is equipped with stairs, walk­ing paths and light­ing. Sil­hou­ettes of ani­mals and fan­tas­tic crea­tures can be dis­cerned in the frozen lace of sta­lac­tites and sta­lag­mites. A large sta­lac­tite, which is called the “Sword of Damo­cles”, leaves a great impres­sion.

In the north­west­ern Cau­ca­sus, this is the largest of the equipped caves: 220 meters of illu­mi­nat­ed paths and stairs lead­ing through sev­er­al large halls. The most inter­est­ing thing here is the thou­sands of sta­lac­tites, sta­lag­mites and sta­lagnate columns of dif­fer­ent col­ors and sizes, often tak­ing unusu­al shapes. The cave has a con­stant tem­per­a­ture of +5 degrees, so out­er­wear (you can rent a coat) will not be super­flu­ous.
