The Achinsk parish of the Mother of God-Kazan Church was opened in 1829. separation from the parish of the Achinsk Trinity Cathedral. The parish, in addition to part of the city of Achinsk, included two villages: Mazul in the 2.5th century. from the city and Karlovka in the 8th century. The first village has existed for more than 100 years, the second was founded in 1895. There is only one church in the parish, a stone one, built in 1830. There are three thrones in it: the main one in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the right one in honor of the glory of the Ascension of the Lord, the left one in the name of the Great Martyr and Victorious George. The church library consists of 538 volumes. The church chronicle has been kept since 1867. During the Great Patriotic War, grain was stored in a closed church. In 1946, believers turned to the authorities with a request to open a temple. Signatures were collected and permission was obtained. The consecration of the temple was performed by Metropolitan Bartholomew (Gorodtsov). The first service took place on December 19, 1946, on the day of remembrance of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
