Description:
Archaeological site. It is located on a steep cliff on the right bank of the Aragvi River, above the Georgian Military Road. The fortress served as protection against raids by mountain tribes. Currently, part of the citadel tower, the western wall and individual elements of other fortifications have been preserved. The fortress was first mentioned in 1156. It has been preserved in a ruined state, and in 2010 it was severely damaged due to a landslide, and going inside is considered dangerous.
