The well was drilled in the 1900s on the ter­ri­to­ry of the I.V. salt plant. Ryazant­sev and named after his wife — at local salt mines and fac­to­ries it was cus­tom­ary to give the names of house­hold mem­bers to var­i­ous struc­tures. This well goes 98 meters deep and is notable for the fact that, unlike oth­er local deposits, its brines con­tain a lot of potas­si­um chlo­ride. The well was oper­at­ed from 1910 to 1923, after which it was closed. The unique chem­i­cal com­po­si­tion of its salts was the rea­son for a spe­cial geo­log­i­cal expe­di­tion, which dis­cov­ered sylvi­nite deposits in the vicin­i­ty of Solikam­sk, after which the con­struc­tion of a potash fer­til­iz­er plant began in the city in 1930. Over time, the Lyud­milin­skaya well turned into a sym­bol of the city, and in the 2000s it was improved and includ­ed in the “Green Line of Solikam­sk”. It is eas­i­ly acces­si­ble along a coun­try road lead­ing from Herzen Street.
