The exposition of the Pacific Aquarium has about 11 thousand animals representing more than 500 different species. The aquarium presents flora and fauna of southern California, the northern and tropical Pacific Ocean, those parts of the ocean where sunlight does not penetrate.
A popular exhibit is the shark aquarium – Shark Lagoon and Lorikeet Forest – representing an exhibition of birds. Aquariums vary in size and each of the aquariums represents an exposition visited by a separate region of the Pacific Ocean. In the spring of 2010, the Earth-Friendly Garden botanical garden was opened on the territory of the Aquarium, representing a large botanical collection of California plants.
