Description:
One of the well-studied burial mounds of the Valley of the Kings complex. It is attributed to the pre-Scythian era, the burial was made in the 9th-8th centuries BC. The mound is interesting not only for its antiquity, but also because representatives of the nobility were buried here. Large-scale excavations were carried out in the 1970s. It is considered the largest mound in Tuva – the diameter of the mound is about 120 meters. Under the ground there was a log burial cube, fenced with a fence, next to the main burial archaeologists discovered several dozen more graves. During the excavations here, weapons of the early Scythian period, jewelry and other items were found. The finds can be seen in the National Museum of Tuva.
Один из хорошо изученных курганов комплекса Долина царей. Его относят к предскифской эпохе, захоронение было сделано в IX-VIII веках до н.э. Курган интересен не только своей древностью, но и тем, что здесь были захоронены представители знати. Масштабные раскопки были проведены в 1970-х годах. Считается самым большим курганом в Тыве – диаметр насыпи составляет около 120 метров. Под землей скрывался бревенчатый погребальный куб, огороженный изгородью, рядом с главным захоронением археологи обнаружили еще несколько десятков могил. При раскопках здесь было найдено оружие раннескифского периода, украшения и другие предметы. Находки можно увидеть в Национальном музее Тывы.
