Description:
The Arzhaan-2 burial mound is about 150 years younger than the Arzhaan-1 complex and is located about 10 kilometers away from it. Large-scale archaeological excavations were carried out here in the 21st century – in 2000-2004. The diameter of the mound is about 80 meters, the height of the embankment does not exceed two meters. Scientists attribute its creation to the 7th century BC. During the excavations, gold items were found in large quantities – their total weight exceeded 20 kg. Now you can see the artifacts in the National Museum in Kyzyl and in the Hermitage.
Курган «Аржаан-2» примерно на 150 лет моложе комплекса «Аржаан-1» и находится примерно в 10 километрах от него. Масштабные археологические изыскания здесь проводились уже в XXI веке – в 2000-2004 годах. Диаметр кургана – около 80 метров, высота насыпи не превышает двух метров. Его создание ученые относят к VII веку до н.э. При раскопках в больших количествах были найдены золотые предметы – их общий вес превысил 20 кг. Сейчас посмотреть на артефакты можно в Национальном музее в Кызыле и в Эрмитаже.
