The Treasury Museum is housed in a building built in 1851 by architect Konstantin Ton. The collection is based on precious items that had been kept in the royal treasury and the patriarchal sacristy for centuries. The museum owes its name to one of the oldest Kremlin treasuries. Various precious items created in the Kremlin forges and workshops, as well as gifts from foreign ambassadors, are also on display. A world-famous treasury museum.
