The largest British ceme­tery of the Sec­ond World War in France, con­tain­ing the graves of over 4,400 Com­mon­wealth sol­diers, most­ly British, and 500 oth­ers, most­ly Ger­man. The Bayeux Memo­r­i­al stands oppo­site the ceme­tery and bears the names of 1,808 Com­mon­wealth sol­diers who have no known grave. The ceme­tery is about a 15-minute walk from Bayeux train sta­tion.
