His­tor­i­cal mon­u­ment of the time of Queen Tama­ra. In the his­to­ry of Abk­hazia, it was of great strate­gic impor­tance — impor­tant routes passed through it. The impres­sive con­struc­tion has a length of 13 m and a com­plete­ly extra­or­di­nary appear­ance. A new bridge was built next to it, which is used for trans­porta­tion pur­pos­es. The Belest bridge has a his­tor­i­cal and tourist pur­pose.
