Description:

Bo-Kaap is a multi-ethnic area in Cape Town. The Malay colony houses colorful homes and tiny street that are a real delight to tour around. There is also great food and many local restaurants that you can visit. There is a huge Islamic influence on the area and there are a lot of small picturesque mosques (KRAMATS) that dot the area. There is also a museum called the Bo-Kaap Museum which tries to document the history of Malays from Cape Town. You can also tour around and admire the peculiar architecture of Bo-Kaap and experience its sights and sounds down the cobblestone roads. One of the signaling Guns from Signal Hill has been kept here on display too.
