Description:
One of the largest concentration camps in Germany. Despite the fact that officially Buchenwald did not have the status of a “death camp”, already in the summer of 1937, the systematic extermination of people began there. From July 1937 to April 1945, approximately 250,000 people were imprisoned in the camp and approximately 56,000 people were killed.
