The natural Buluus glacier is a lake that is fed by many underground sources of pure spring water. From the Yakut language the word “Buluus” is translated as “Glacier”. Thanks to the constant influx of cold water, the springs simply do not have time to freeze even on the hottest days of the Yakut summer. Gradually, blocks of ice grow around them. The number of ice masses is so huge that the ice remains all summer.
