Not the largest, but very pic­turesque water­fall on Sakhalin — on the list of must-see places for tourists. Locals call it lit­tle Nia­gara. The roar will be heard long before the water­fall itself opens to the eyes of trav­el­ers. Water falls from a 13-meter height not in a con­tin­u­ous stream, but in sep­a­rate streams, rem­i­nis­cent of a weight­less blan­ket. Dare­dev­ils some­times swim in the “bowl” of the water­fall, although the water there is icy all year round. The height of the water­fall is 13 meters. When the snow melts or it rains, the water flow expands to 30 meters, and the water­fall becomes one of the widest on the island. Streams of water fall into a small lake. There is a dry step on the upper lev­el where you can sit and admire nature.
