Description:
Soviet pilot Chkalov crashed during a test flight on an I-180 fighter designed by Polikarpov. The plane’s engine failed during landing. Trying to avoid falling on residential buildings, the pilot collided with a high-voltage support and died 2 hours later in the Botkin hospital. The urn with the ashes of Valery Chkalov is located in the Kremlin wall on Red Square in Moscow.

Стараясь избежать падения на жилые постройки, летчик столкнулся с высоковольтной опорой и через 2 часа скончался в Боткинской больнице. Урна с прахом Валерия Чкалова находится в Кремлёвской стене на Красной площади в Москве.
