A unique engineering structure. It was built on Sakhalin Island by the Japanese back in 1928, at a time when the southern part of the island was considered Japanese territory. The bridge is located on the old railway line Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk – Kholmsk. The uniqueness of the bridge lies in the fact that the path to it is a loop passing underground.
The length of the Devil’s Bridge is only 125 meters, the height is 45 meters. It is almost twice as tall as the tallest operating bridge on Sakhalin in Novoselovo.
Уникальное инженерное сооружение. Был построен на острове Сахалин Японцами еще в 1928 году, во времена, когда Южная часть острова считалась Японской территорией. Мост расположен на старой железнодорожной “ветке” Южно-Сахалинск – Холмск. Уникальность моста заключается в том, что путь к нему представляет собой петлю проходящею под землей.
Длина Чёртова моста – всего 125 метров, высота 45 метров. Он превосходит высочайший на Сахалине действующий мост в Новосёлово почти вдвое.
