Description:

It and Cape Prince of Wales, which is the westernmost point of the United States, are separated by only 86 kilometers. Officially, the cape on the Chukotka Peninsula was discovered by the Russian traveler Semyon Dezhnev in 1648. You can get to the extreme eastern point of Russia either by air (but with a large number of transfers) or by water.
