Built to protect Kronstadt from the south, almost completely destroyed in 1923. World Heritage Site, cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation of federal significance. In 1854, the fort was named after the emperor’s father, “Paul I”. In 1919, when the front of the Civil War came close to Petrograd, the Mensheviks and Socialist Revolutionaries raised an uprising in Kronstadt, which was quickly suppressed. The signal for it was the explosion on “Paul I”. The fort received serious damage and was removed from the defense. In 1923, the fort was almost completely destroyed. Only one fragment of the wall remained, where several long-range guns were located during the siege of Leningrad. Создан для защиты Кронштадта с юга, почти полностью уничтожен в 1923 году Объект всемирного наследия, культурного наследия народов РФ федерального значения. В 1854 году форт получил имя отца императора — «Павел I». В 1919 году, когда фронт Гражданской войны подошёл вплотную к Петрограду, в Кронштадте меньшевики и эсеры подняли восстание, которое было быстро подавлено. Сигналом к нему послужил взрыв на «Павле I». Форт получил серьёзные повреждения и был выведен из состава обороны. В 1923 году форт был практически полностью уничтожен. Сохранился только один фрагмент стены, где и во время блокады Ленинграда размещалось несколько дальнобойных орудий. Объект всемирного наследия, культурного наследия народов РФ федерального значения.
