The mausoleum is located in a picturesque place, surrounded by pink, greenish, reddish mountains of amazing shape and beauty. On these lands, Turkmen warriors courageously defended themselves from the troops of the Khiva Khan, defending their independence. A visit to the holy place – the cemetery of Gozli-Ata and the grave of the legendary founder of Turkmen-ata is a good sign. At the mausoleum and the tomb of the saint, religious rites are held, legends about the great commander, whose name this place is named, are heard. Gozli-ata, or Uzynkhasan – a mystical personality and spiritual leader of the Balkan Turkmen tribes in the Middle Ages. At the age of 102, the sage united the Turkmen tribes to fight the army of the Khiva Sufian Khan. This happened in the 20s of the 16th century. There is a salt water well next to the parking lot.
