The museum complex consists of several buildings containing extensive collections: archaeological, tile and ceramics collections, and a collection dedicated to the Ancient East. The exhibition presents the cultural heritage of mankind from the most ancient civilizations of Arabia, Mesopotamia, Egypt and Hellas to late antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Ottoman period.
