An active stratovolcano in eastern Kamchatka in the middle part of the Gamchen ridge on the territory of the Kronotsky Nature Reserve. Named in 1941 after Academician Vladimir Leontievich Komarov, head of the botanical department of the Kamchatka expedition of the Geographical Society in 1908–1911.
